Alfred was born in Stockholm on October, 21st, 1833 in a family of Emmanuelja Nobelja and Andrietty Altsel. The Financial position of a young family was difficult. Invention of Emmanuelja did not give sufficient means of subsistence, and spouses have been compelled to change constantly a residence, looking for more and more cheap apartments. One year prior to a birth of Alfreda quarter in which there was their house, has been completely destroyed by a fire. Andrietta with two children at the last minute has had time to escape, but the family has lost everything that had. And in the meantime creditors pressed from different directions, and in 1833 Nobel has been compelled to declare itself the bankrupt. His name has appeared in lists of poor debtors which were published annually by the Stockholm tax police. To avoid imprisonment, he ran at first to Finland, and then - to Russia.
